Overview:

A well-regarded accountancy practice is seeking a qualified Audit and Accounts Senior to join their professional and supportive team. This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse client portfolio, taking ownership of audit assignments and statutory accounts preparation, while providing high-quality service and expert technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, lead, and complete audit assignments for a broad range of clients across various sectors

• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders in accordance with UK GAAP

• Review work prepared by junior team members, offering guidance and feedback

• Liaise directly with clients, providing a high standard of service and resolving queries efficiently

• Work closely with partners and managers to ensure deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded

• Assist in the development and training of junior staff

• Stay updated on relevant accounting, audit, and tax legislation to ensure compliance and best practice

Skills and Qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

• Experience working within an accountancy practice (minimum 3 years preferred)

• Strong audit background with solid accounts preparation experience

• Good knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting standards

• Proficient in using audit and accounting software such as CaseWare, Iris, or CCH

• Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
