Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking firm of Accountants based in Harrow, is currently seeking a Bookkeeping Apprentice to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification.
The Role:
As a Bookkeeping Apprentice, you will support the accounts team in delivering high-quality bookkeeping services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience while studying towards an AAT qualification or similar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing and maintaining financial records
- Assisting with VAT returns
- Supporting month-end procedures
- Liaising with clients to collect relevant documentation
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in accounting
- GCSEs including Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
